Over the past several years we have been collecting digital images of the family of Jacob and Katherine Lebsack. These have come from old photograph albums and slides from a number of the family members. The images and written histories bring a better understanding of their lives and those of their children. They are presented here for members of the family. We hope that you find them educational and interesting.
We would like to add more pictures and documents to the archive and if you have access to any please contact me. I’ll scan them and return the originals to you.
Click on the Photos button above to see the collection. There are five volumes containing a total of about 170 shots. In addition, there is a page with Modern Russia photographs taken by Loren Hettinger on his trip to Russia in 1996. The Family Documents button shows some interesting documents including the ship’s manifest for the family’s trip to America, parochial certificates, passports, newspaper clippings, obituaries and funerals---even the recipe for German sausage!
The Family Histories button will bring you to a page with downloads of histories written by members of the family, including, Clarence, Jake, Lydia, and Leona, and the story of Loren’s trip to Russia. Also included on this page are some links to external websites related to the Volga Germans.
Full-size versions of the pictures and documents can be downloaded from this site by clicking on the image name in the pull-down menus at the tops of the pages.
